Episode #22 (posted by Jon) |
Oh man, this is going to be good...
Hey guys, sorry for the late update, I had a bit of trouble with some file transfers...or lack thereof. I struggled a bit with the proportions of this comic (i.e. I had trouble portraying all of the events with Leviathan falling toward the fireball within acceptable distance and time margins...or, to put it even more simply, I had trouble deciding how fast Leviathan should be hovering and falling), but the result was well worth the effort. We're going to stick with Leviathan for the next couple of comics, before catching back up to Ganon hearing the scream.
Well I finally did it. I got a copy of Sonic and the Secret Rings, and I am greatly enjoying it. The Wii controls took a minute or two to get used to, but it was worth it for the terrific graphics, gameplay, and storyline.
My, it seems like only yesterday when I first saw that lovely preview for Sonic and the Secret of the Rings (and then, after that, I saw a little re-dubbed version which cracked me up)... I'm a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan - no, I'm not saying he'd win a fight against Mario, I want to be perfectly clear on that, I'm just saying that he would probably win a fight against Mario - so, naturally, I've been looking forward to this release for some time. All of my fellow Sonic the Hedgehog fans should check out that preview here, and the re-dubbed version here. So the list of Wii games that I'm anxiously awaiting is now as follows: Smash Brothers Brawl, and Rayman. Therefore...what? ...What do you mean "not only is that last one already out, but you actually played it with Eric a few weeks ago, you idiot?"
Speaking of Sonic, I have to say I was disappointed with the Dreamcast's short lifespan. It was an excellent system, and Sonic Adventure was an awesome game. Shenmue was good too, but it's hard for me to advocate the game that most contributed to the Dreamcast's downfall. I'm glad to see that Sega is still running strong with Sonic, even though they're currently out of the console business.
Oh and, before I forget, I wanted to announce that Din's appearance last update is thanks to Krunal's brilliant advice regarding the ordering of thought bubbles. I wanted to be sure to give him credit for that. And, what they hey, I'm also going to announce that Emmerson, Lake, and Palmer are awesome.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go make up some other reason to play more Twilight Princess...
Enjoy,
