Episode #30 (posted by Jon)

I don't know what to make of Maximo. The graphics were ok, and the grim reaper was funny in the opening cinema, but I was so so bad at it! Now I know how all of my Guitar-Hero-playing friends feel...

This comic took a long time to make, as Kurnal and I kept disagreeing on the script...

Krunal:
We should have Emmy sipping pina coladas on beach somewhere.
Me:
...That would raise all kinds of plotholes...
Krunal:
So?

But, in the end, awesome grim reaper pics were found, and the script was perfected. I could not be happier with how it came out. I put that King of Queens reference in the last frame, as I share his disappointment that the show will be ending soon.

Also, for those of you who haven't noticed, I put some voting buttons on the left of the home, archives, and latest pages (I'll put them on the comic pages in a bit). Please click on one and vote for us now and then (once a day, ideally), so that our comic can move up in the ranks at Buzz Comix, and TWC (the buttons are posted right below if you can't find them).

I would also like to add, that my heart goes out to all of the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting, and to those who lost friends, family members, and loved ones in the shooting. Tragedies like that should never occur.

I ask you to please view this shooting for what it is, a tragedy spawned from a lack of judgment and conscience on the part of the shooters. Do not demean the shooter's crime by listening to the idiotic, red-herring-spewing, vermin who irrationally blame it on video games. It's the shooter's fault, not the fault of video games. I'll end my rant here, as I don't want to go on too long, but I'll post the rest here for those who want to read it.

Enjoy,

Krunal's Rant (posted by Krunal)

First off I would like to offer my condolences to all those who knew the victims of the shooting at Virginia Tech Monday. I have friends there, and I thank God that they are uninjured.

Now it has come to my attention that some people (Jack Thompson) are blaming this shooting on video games. I want to clear this up for everyone right now. Video games do not kill people, PEOPLE kill people. I am sick of these people who insist on finding something else to blame every time a tragedy occurs. Video games are merely a form of entertainment to distract people from the stress of everyday life. It is a way of relieving tension, and, at least for me, prevents me from taking my anger out on someone else, either physically or verbally.

We hear about how video games supposedly train people on how to kill people. I would like to bring up an example from concerned women for America. They bring up plenty of examples where killers played Doom. But Doom doesn’t put a gun in a persons hand. And it doesn’t teach people to how to shoot people in the head at 25 feet (well, it kinda does, but not in real life). Anyway I’ve ranted long enough, I just want to say that it is despicable that a person would use a tragedy like this shooting to promote their own political ideas. And, once again, my heart goes out to all those who were affected by this tragedy
