Episode 37: Funeral pyre part II

Episode #37 (posted by Jon) |
And here we have the second half of yesterday's update. I feel like it came out quite well (it gives the FA fire spirit a nice farewell, allows the Narrator to say a few words, and still has time for a punchline at the end). Hopefully you all agree.
Well my Bleach dvds arrived, and I'm happy to say that the subtitles are pretty good. I also started watching the dub. I watched one episode dubbed a while back, and was disappointed, but recently I saw a few more and thought they were good. Must have just caught it on an off day...
Also, I would like to remind everyone that tickets for our Smash Brothers Tournament are on sale, and if you register early (here) you can save a bit of money (not a huge amount, but $3 is $3...). Also, it would help us out a lot if we had an idea as to how many people are coming. If you are interested, please go ahead and do that. We'd love to have you aboard. :)
Oh, and on that note, please be sure to vote for us.
Our comic has been steadily ascending the ranks of webcomic lists, but we need your support to go even higher. If you like our comic, please click the buttons on the sidebar (or just go here if you're having trouble finding them) once a day and vote for us. We appreciate your support.
__________
Meh (n/adj): 1) a word used by someone for purposes of quality assessment, when he or she is otherwise unsure of what to to say (example: "was the movie good?" "Meh"). 2) a single-syllable, one-word phrase used to imply apathy, disinterest, or an overall lack of enthusiasm towards a particular proposal or circumstance (example: "want to go over there?" "Meh.").
Enjoy,

Krunal wrote up a 300 review; our shortest and most to-the-point review yet.
"That's a real man's review!" raves Krunal.
"Uhh..." retorts Jon.
300 was a terrific movie. I'm not sure if I liked it as much as Krunal - it's mathematically impossible for me to have liked it any more - but I did enjoy it. The fighting was quite spectacular - if you don't mind all the gore - and the characters were a lot more likable than I expected, which was big relief. Movies that have nothing but evil, emotionless, unlikable characters really don't do it for me. I'm glad they remembered to make the Spartans likable (although I think it romanticized their society a bit).
Anyway, check out the review. It's good good stuff. |

Alright, I wrote up a Spiderman 3 review.
Not everyone liked the movie, but I thought it was alright - and remember, I'm the guy who said he was going to try to find a way to make the Freaking Awesome Fire Spirit survive the 'ice spear' and then spent two comics portraying his body fading away and his soul his being sent adrift, while, all the while, D. Narrator laments his passing, I mean who are you going to believe? |

| It definately has it's problems, but I feel it's worth seeing once, and Krunal agrees. When asked for his opinion, Tony commented that it was "the worst movie I've ever seen, yet so fabulous..." I'm not really sure what to make of that, but whatever, it had the word "fabulous" in it. |
