Episode 5: Everybody loves elves

Episode #5 (posted by Jon)

There are an awful lot of different types of elves, aren't there? I mean, this isn't even considering wht happens in the case of undead elves. Can elves turn into vampires, or do they become orcs like in Lord of the Rings? Or are dark elves really the same thing as undead elves, just without the generic vampire-type lingo? And what's all this I hear about blood elves in the new World of Warcraft expansion? Are they vampires? Will/should they ever make an Underworld 3? Well I don't know either, it's a big can of worms. But don't worry, I'll figure it out someday. ...well I might...

Well vampires or not, I'm really pleased with how this comic turned out. The Tieg/Farore split frame came out nicely, the pic of Lucia with the planet in the background is lovely, and I have to say I really like that huge frame at the bottom, that came out really well. So yeah, all things considered I couldn't be happier with how this comic looks.

In other news, Final Fantasy XII is freaking awesome! The graphics are amazing, the sound (music and voice acting) is brilliant, the new battle system is a brilliant combination of the old and the new, the storyline is highly engrossing, and they brought back the moogles! Oh, life is sweet!

Enjoy,

Orcs (posted by Krunal)

Jon! Orcs are not undead elves! They're elves that were twisted and corrupted by Sauron, like trolls were of ents! Fix it! Do it NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Revision (posted by Jonl)

Ok, so orcs are out then. But the blood elf, dark elf, and vampire elf dispute remains. I think I remember something from Morrowind about elves being able to become vampires...

Also, I've been informed that blood elves are actually a faction of high elves that are addicted to magic. They have a deal running with the leader of the Naga (serpent/men...kinda like Dias from Breath of Fire, though I think she was a tad cooler) leader - Illidan. Illidan will give the blood elves enough magic - from demonic sources, he may have neglected to mention that - to satisfy their addiction, so long as they remain allied with him, and help him with his conquest (I got this info from the blood elf wiki if you want to know).

Still not sure about dark elves though...

Dark Elves (posted by Krunal)

And dark elves - also known as drow - are evil or neutral elves who have fled to the Underdark - underground cities - to escape from their good kinsmen.
